Sophie Duran ( born 1984, Gouda), lives and works in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. After theatreschool, Sophie went to The Design Academy Eindhoven where she graduated at the end of 2008. After that, she moved to Rotterdam and started her own studio, something she always wanted to do.
As a conceptual designer, Sophie balances between art and design. She always works from out of her instinct. With her recognizable handwriting and a good sence for colour, she creates different atmospheres. Whether it's jewellery, textile printing or (home) accessories: she grabs you as a viewer and makes you look twice.
Her goal is to point out the beauty in this world and ad 'new beauty' to that herself.
